Competitive Gymnastics

We currently have 45 members in our Women’s Artistic Squad.  These gymnasts train between 5-15 hours per week and range in age from 5-15.  They compete both regionally and nationally representing Pen-y-bont Gymnastics Club throughout the UK.

Three of our gymnasts now train full time in the Welsh Academy in Cardiff. Emily Thomas, age 17, Layla Starkie, age 10 and Ellie Lewis, age 8.  Emily and Layla are also both current members of the GB Squad.

Emily has recently competed in the Commonwealth Games and attended the World Championships in Doha as part of the team.
